How the Artist’s Coefficient is identified

The expert will assign the artist’s coefficients for each type of work. For example, based on technique (oil, acrylic, watercolor, tempera, etc.) or support (canvas, canvas cardboard, panel, and so on). The artist will then be able to apply the Artist Coefficient given on all the works of that genre, calculating the value of each work. The success in sales of one kind over another, the awards received, auction sales, the success of a cycle in relation to market trends, the originality of the work and its potential in perspective, significant exhibitions in which the artist has participated and countless other factors will then be taken into account.

The artist’s coefficients may, therefore, be varied. The certification will be motivated on a case-by-case basis, by typological group of works, which the expert will identify by discussing with the artist, before issuing the certification.

Base Price = (Highest Base + Highest Height) x Artist’s Coefficient x 10
